Astral Leadership: Four Domains for Channeling Your Highest Potential

There are countless leadership models that can tell us how to lead more effectively. Astral Leadership begins somewhere slightly different because it asks us to consider who we are while we are leading.

Developed from my own experiences of leadership, scholarship, spirituality, observation, and a healthy willingness to question the assumptions we have inherited about what leadership is supposed to look like, Astral Leadership explores the relationship between inner awareness and outward leadership practice.

At its foundation are four interconnected domains: Awareness, Reflection, Intention, and Practice.

Awareness

Leadership begins with presence.

Through the concept of Metaphysical Harmonies, Astral Leadership uses powerful and intentional totems as reminders to become conscious of ourselves within the leadership moment. Each crystal becomes an anchor, prompting us to notice our reactions, our energy, our assumptions, and the atmosphere we are helping to create.

Reflection

Once we become aware, we need somewhere to put that awareness.

Astral Leadership calls this liminal space The Veranda. It is the threshold between what we know and what we are still discovering, between reaction and response, between the experience we have just had and the meaning we may eventually make from it. The Veranda is where we pause to ask better questions.

Intention

Reflection creates the possibility of choice, and choice brings us to Intention.

Through the Reward of Joy, Astral Leadership considers what it means to lead with an awareness that our actions extend beyond the immediate moment. The work we do, the lives we build, the joy we experience, and the restoration we allow ourselves can carry meaning beyond our individual circumstances.

For me, this domain is deeply connected to ancestral honoring. There is something powerful about recognizing that the opportunities we have today were not created by us alone, just as the choices we make today may shape what becomes possible for someone who comes after us. Joy, then, is not frivolous because it is evidence of restoration. And sometimes, quite frankly, joy is the audacity to enjoy the life we worked so hard to make possible.

Practice

Finally, Astral Leadership asks us to practice what we have discovered.

Awareness without reflection can leave us reacting from habit. Reflection without intention can leave us perpetually contemplating. Intention without practice can become another gorgeous idea sitting patiently in a notebook. Practice is where the framework becomes leadership.

It is where we bring our awareness into the meeting, our reflection into the decision, our intention into the relationship, and our understanding into the work. This is where Astral Leadership moves from concept to lived experience.

The four domains are interconnected, and the journey is not necessarily linear. We may move from Awareness to Reflection, discover something that changes our Intention, put it into Practice, and then find ourselves becoming aware of something entirely new.

Astral Leadership is not about becoming some idealized version of a leader. It is about becoming more conscious of the leader you are already becoming.

And there is much more to explore. For now, consider this an invitation to step onto The Veranda with me.
